Abstract

The leadership practice of an organization is important in creating a supportive and conducive environment. This research focuses on leadership in the context of early childhood education, which is transformational leadership, and also the efficacy of a teacher. This study aims to identify a significant relationship between the principal's leadership practices and the level of self-efficacy of private kindergarten teachers. This study has used a quantitative method by distributing questionnaires online to private kindergarten teachers in the state of Penang. However, this study uses the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) software and SmartPLS to obtain data on the relationship between principal leadership and teacher self-efficacy. The results in this study show a significant relationship between the leadership of private kindergarten principals and teachers' self-efficacy. Indirectly, the results of this study allow preliminary findings to be obtained in the context of early childhood education organizations. This is because the self-
efficacy of kindergarten teachers still needs to be seen and studied so that appropriate actions can be taken and not only focus on higher education organizations. Therefore, this study enables a conducive work environment to form more prosperous early childhood teachers to achieve Malaysian education's goal in forming students with holistic development.
