PEMIKIRAN FUTURISTIK DALAM KALANGAN PEMIMPIN MURID SMKA DAN SMA DI SELANGOR

Abstract

The study aims to identify futuristic thinking among student leaders in two types of schools namely, National Religious Secondary Schools (SMKAs) and Religious Secondary Schools (SMAs). The study was conducted using a quantitative approach by distributing questionnaires to 600 students from three SMKAs and three SMAs. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical methods. The reliability of the instrument is 0.89 based on the Alpha Cronbach scores. The Kolmogorov-Smirnov test was done to identify the data were normally distributed. This research found that the value components are the highest score of mean i.e. more 4.0 followed by critical thinking, creative thinking, and innovative thinking. In terms of futuristic thinking practical differences among SMKAs and SMAs, the research found that there was no significant difference when t (598) = .080, p> .05. The implication of this study is to be aware of the value aspect that is the key player for a successful student leader.
