Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyse the effectiveness of Sport School in Malaysia which comprises of eight dimensions for instance the leadership of sport school’s principal (leadership skills, transformational teaching and effective management of sources), the process of teaching and learning (curriculum and the teacher’s leadership), culture and ambience (organised ambience, physical efficiency and resourceful ambience, high expectance (comprehensive immense expectance practice, the process towards high expectance to enhance students experiencing challenging situation), students’ right, supervising and evaluating continuously (students’ achievement and sports’ school evaluation), consensus between Sport Schools ( relationship between the parents and the society, the parents and the sport school as teaching organisation. There are 297 respondents selected using random sampling to help the researcher in obtaining accurate data as align with the objectives proposed. The researcher used Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) Version 24.0. in analysing the data gained through the questionnaire contributed. The data analysis is consisting of descriptive statistic for example min score, standard deviation and percentage score to answer the suggested research questions. The research study ascertain the effectiveness of sport schools in Malaysia with high value (M=0.41) and standard deviation (SD= 0.82), in addition, the hindrance factors on the effectiveness of sport schools also assured to be in high value where (M=0.39, SP =0.80). Therefore, this research study is an absolute guideline for the school’s administration in practicing the leadership skills mentioned thoroughly to bring changes in becoming an efficient school, not only in producing good athletes but also in producing conducive ambience and enhancing teaching and learning continuously within the school’s representatives.
